Christmas, Christmas Everywhere

Christmas was quite eventful this year...with two kids, lots of family to see and quite a few gifts to deliver. We left San Antonio on Saturday, December 22 and headed to Austin for Christmas with the Criders (Dawn's family)...

After a wonderful Christmas with the Criders, we loaded up the truck again and left Austin around 7:30 and headed for Enid, OK (Johnathan's hometown). It was a long trip through the night, but the kids did really well and slept most of the time.

We stopped in Dallas on Friday night to take a break from driving and stayed with friends Kevin, Kristen and Landen. Gavin and Landen decided to take a bath together...so much fun!!

We had a wonderful Christmas and got to see so many family and friends. We have been truly blessed with two beautiful children and the best family and friends anyone could ask for! We hope that all of you had as good a time this holiday season as we did! See you in 2009...

Look at My New Toy!!

Since Gavin is quite the climber these days, we decided to get him the 'Little Tikes Mountain Climber' for Christmas...and since he's only 17 months old and doesn't really know the difference, we decided to set it up a couple of weeks ago so he could get good use out of it while it's nice and warm (in December!!) The toy is actually rated for kids 2-8, so he can't quite climb up it by himself, but he loves to try...and I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon enough! He also loves the slide...

Tummy Time - Gavin Interacts with Brynn

Gavin becomes more and more interested in Brynn every day. He now tries to snuggle on her when she's feeding and is so excited to see her first thing in the morning. He's such a sweetheart and will be a great big brother to Brynn, I'm sure!

Our Day at the Park

We took the kids for a walk this weekend in the new Bob Stroller - the new 'double wide' edition :) Both Gavin and Brynn love the stroller and it's nice for us to get out of the house and for mom to get some exercise!! Gavin is starting to take interest in Brynn and checks on her from time to time...still mostly when she's crying, but it's neat to see the curiosity in his eyes when he looks at her. Gavin also learned to climb into the stroller by himself without injuring Brynn...pretty funny to watch!

Halloween

The kids were super cute at Halloween! Gavin wore his 'Spiderman' costume (provided by his Grandma) for his party at school and looked super cute as he ran through the class room! He was all set to go trick-or-treating in his 'Monkey' costume, but after a full day of school and a lot of sugar from his party, he was not willing to cooperate as a Monkey and didn't end up going trick-or-treating. We tried getting some pictures with him as a Monkey, but they didn't turn out as well as we'd hoped!

Little Miss Brynn, on the other hand, was too tiny to fit into her 'Pumpkin' costume, so we just plopped her in her pumpkin and took pictures of her that way...we think she looks like a little 'Anne Geddes' baby!
